There is a list of neuro-otologists (also spelled neurotologists) at the Web site of the American Neurotology Society. Also look under the "Find a Doctor" tab of the Vestibular Disorders Association Web site at www.vestibular.org.
I have been to other doctors and they all look in my ears (usual check). I have never been to an inner ear special. I am glad you brought that up. I wish my local doctors gave me as much insight as the two of you have. thanks so much.
Have you been checked for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)? Seen an ENT, preferably a neuro-otologist (specialist in the inner ear)?
John, thanks for your feedback. I will investigate the tilt table test. My blood pressure seems realitively normal. I have seen a neurologist in the past and they did not find anything.
What you describe, the dizziness on postural changes is quite common. High Blood Pressure, Low B/P, any number of heart or neurological issues could cause this. One test I know they use is called a "tilt table test", this gives a good indication as to how your vital signs respond to the changes in posture.
