Heart failure + BP

Heart failure + BP

Hi,
I am a leukemia survivor and have a couple of questions.
I had chemotherapy and a stem-cell transplantation. Apparently some of the chemotherapy I received was cardiotoxic. Fortunately the therapy was a success and the leukemia is gone (for now). A couple of months after my last chemotherapy treatment i noticed some swollen ankles and I didn't feel well. I also couldn't breath properly. I went to see a cardiologist and they did an echo and measured a LVEF of 30% and a BP of 160/100, also my heart was enlarged. Before and during the therapy my LVEF was about 60% and 90/60. So I started with diuretics, beta-blockers and medication against the high BP. This is now about 1 year ago. My BP now is 170/110 and my cardiologist has prescribed new medications to get the BP down and new beta-blockers. I no longer need the diuretics. About 5 months ago they did an echo and the LVEF was 30%, and this week they did it again and it was 31%. But they also measured the size of my heart and it was slightly smaller, better than before. So you can say it is pretty stable.
My question to you is: are there any other people here that have a lower LVEF after chemotherapy due to cardiotoxity? And what exactly does it mean if you live with a low LVEF, are you limited in your possiblilities like in sports? What is the prognosis for a person like me? Is it possible that my heart will recover and LVEF will go back up again? Can the high BP and low LVEF be related to eachother?
