Hello,
It doesn't sound like the two are connected. The work up for passing out (syncope) takes time and about 50% of the time doesn't lead to a definite cause. The goal of the work up is to 1. make sure there are no life threatening problems and 2. decrease the symptoms or number of events.
You should see your doctor and describe your symptoms. They will likely prescribe and holter or event monitor depending on the frequency of events. If they are able to capture an event on the monitor, it will be a lot easier to explain the cause. As an aside, blurry vision is a common symptom of vasovagal syncope, but this requires a detailed history and physical to determine.
I doubt exercising less would cause you to pass out.
I would check a pregnancy test now. Syncope is sometimes the first sign of pregnancy for some people.
I doubt this will cause any problems for you trying to start a family, but see your doctor first to order the appropriate tests.
I hope this helps. Thanks for posting.
Besides the vitamins & other good things about fruit, bananas are high in potassium & also help a queasy tummy early in pregn. I kept a banana & box of saltines by the bed. First thing in AM, before getting up, I ate my banana & a couple of saltines. It helped keep away the morning queasiness. Later in the pregn. when the baby is pressing on your arteries & slowing circulation to your legs, the bananas will help prevent leg cramps.
If you are a light-framed, lightweight woman to begin with, you probably have relatively low blood pressure already. Don't be surprised if it gets even lower when you are pregnant. Keep your fluid intake up (dehydration of Mama is bad for both of you, and leads to fainting), drink orange juice, eat your bananas, and don't leap up from a sitting position. You won't be leaping late in the pregn., but don't do it early on either unless you like getting attention by hitting the deck suddenly.
Lie on your left side whenever you lie down--keeps baby off southbound artery. Elevate the bottom feet of the bed just a few degrees, or place some folded blankets under your mattress to do the same thing--to get your legs higher.
Good luck!
