Heart palpatates after eating

Lately my heart works so hard and skips some beats after eating. I had been diagnosed with MVP, but later by another set of drs. was told I don't have MVP, and probably never did. Now its fluttering again and I am pre-diabetic and have HBP and high cholesterol and am about 15 lbs overweight. Should I just expect the palpatations, or go back to the dr and get the barage of tests, Holter etc just for them to tell me, yes, it'll do that sometimes as we get older, but lose some weight and exercise more? I don't get much exercise. I've changed HBP med lately. I'm tired alot and get real sleepy after eating. Is it ok to exercise more if the ol ticker is playing hopscotch? ( I've had some charlie horses and some nerve problems in my neck and head and must have started having carpel tunnel problems along with some back nerve pain.) SO What The Heck is happening?
