Heart rhythm issue

Hello,

I'm a 36 year old male who has a history of extra beats, but they went completely away for the longest time (over 2 years).  I received a clean cardiac evaluation including echo 5 years ago, but recently, I started having a return of palpitations, but the big difference this time is that instead of just 1 extra beat or maybe 5 seconds of fluttering,  I'm getting what feels like constant extra beats and very noticeable fluttering that's lasting longer than 2 minutes at a time.    One thing I've notice also, is that at the same time, I started noticing that my upper abdomen feels tense inside like it's pushing up into my chest and I'm hearing very loud hyperactive upper bowel sounds when I have an empty stomach.   I'm not sure how this could just be a coincidence.    My palpitations are sometimes being effected also by physical positional moves.

Can you perhaps explain what it may be and does it sound like that I need a new cardiac evaluation?

The bowel sounds are not likely related, but the sensation of pressure could be related to a new cardiac arrhythmia or another cardiac problem.   Your physician could check and EKG but in addition, a Holter monitor for 48 hours especially since you are having symptoms constantly, it should capture whether or not these are related to a heart rhtyhm problem.  Some arrhythmias have been anecdotally assoicated with positional changes, but again, you would have to have a monitor to see what the rhythm abnormality is.
