Heavy Heart beat

For several Years now I occasionally have had a very hard/heavy heart beat, usually when I am still for a period of time. I don't know why however I recently was diagnosed with mono and after having it for about 2 months it has gotten more serious. It happens more frequently even when not still. Sometimes there are sharp pains. The doctors I have been to don't seem to be too concerned about it. I am obviously very concerned. Also I feel like my arm's blood flow is being pinched off. I have been able to excercise without any other complications or increase in pain.

Is there anyone out there that is having the same problems or can help me in any other way?

Also I notice that when i go in about this condition my blood pressure is abnormally high. Usually it is right around 120/80

but today it was 146/89, which is very odd considering i eat fairly healthy and am not overweight.
