Hello,  I have had a problem with my breathing all of the sudden.  I thought that maybe it was just the cold.  I had my blood-pressure taken and it is 139/95.  I was wondering what this could be?  My doc can't see me until next week.  Thanx, Charlie.

Dear Charlie,

This is likely to be some viral process given the time of year and your symptoms.

It is important to have a full physical examination to rule out more chronic lung problems like asthma.
