Hemolysis After Bicuspid Aortic Valve Repair?

I had a bicuspid aortic valve repair/ascending aortic aneurysm repair last year.  Since that time I have had difficulty getting my blood counts back to normal.  I was referred to a hematologist and he has diagnosed me with mild hemolysis.  He feels that the blood flow through the valve is the culprit.  Is this a common problem with a bicuspid aortic valve repair?  I am going to my cardiologist for another echo in the next two weeks.  My last echo was normal.
