Hi blood pressure, carotid artery blockage, altitude & flying

I have mild high blood pressure, have just been diagnosed with blockages in carotid arteries (30% & 70%) & my cholesterol is high (258  HDL 130; LDL 119).  I exercise 6 days a week, watch what I eat.  I have just started a course of statins to bring the cholesteral down.  I am due to fly to Steamboat, Co to ski so I will be between 6700 -10700 ft in altitude from sea level.  Is there an added risk from flying and the altitude with these blockages?

There is no incerased risk of stroke.  Make sure you stay on the statin and watch your diet.
