Just to add, you shouldn't have high blood pressure. High blood pressure can cause all kinds of problems long term, including heart disease. Have you followed all the usual guidelines for lowering bp, such as reducing salt intake.

Krill oil is high in EPA and DHA, two forms of omega 3 fatty acids which can lower cholesterol and some believe it can lower blood pressure as well by helping control LDL, reducing the amount of plaques in your arteries and thinning your blood. None of this has been proven. There are a couple things to remember before you start using krill oil. First, it is a supplement and as such is not controlled by the FDA. Therefore, the makers are not required to put their products through the type if trials done by prescription and over the counter meds. Also, as the manufacturing process is not controlled the dosages are not consistent between brands or even pills from the same bottle. Most importantly, krill oil has one serious side effect, it can make it difficult for your blood to clot so it should not be taken by anyone already on a blood thinner or with a bleeding disorder.

Like all supplements, you should discuss it with your doctor before starting it's use.

Hope this helps,

Jon
