High HDL

by tzinn, Oct 20, 2009 01:20PM
I am a 50yr old female recently had my annual check up, my cholesterol was 276 which was high, my LDL was great and my Tiglycerides was great too, the problem was my HDL was 521.......what would cause my HDL to be 521?

Do I have something else going on?
Any answers would be very helpful, have doctors appointment on Thursday, she wants to send me to a Rhematologist because my RA numbers were off also.  Would high HDL have anything to do with that?

I'm not a health professional so take what I mention in that perspective, but a normal high HDL level would be 50.  I suspect your blood test was not read correctly.  I'd ask for another blood test.
