High diastolic pressure

High diastolic pressure

Posted By Terry on July 15, 1999 at 09:25:54
I'm male, age 52, 15 lb overweight and, until the last few months, have not had high blood pressure.  My father (age 72) has had it and been medicated for years.  His blood pressure (under medication) runs in the range of 140-160/75-95.  Mine runs 120-145/95-105.  Is there particular significance to my diastoloic being so high?  Today, for example, it is 145/105.
