How fast?

What is considered the normal heart rate for a 10 year old?  I have taken her pulse on several occasions, not after she has been resting, but simply standing around.  It averages around 108 to 120.  Is this considered normal?  The reasons for taking it was due to her complaining of something such as headaches, or that "just not feeling right" complaint.  I did notice that it did speed up as she was breathing in and then it seemed to slow down as she breathed out.
Thanks

Dear Jodie,

This is about a normal heart rate for a 10 year old.  the variation with respiration is normal.  You should make sure that your daughter has a recent physical examination by a physician to rule out other causes of not feeling well.

I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to write back.
