Huge PVC

I was just sitting at my desk talking to someone when BAM a HUGE PVC hit me.  It kind of knocked the wind out of me and made me feel dizzy.  Of course now, I am a nervous wreck.

I think this was the hardest hitting palpitation I've had in a long time.

Does anyone else get this?  Are they more significant than the smaller ones?

I get the same feeling!  Have you found out anymore?  I saw a cardiologist yesterday for the first time.  Hadn't felt any pvc's all day, until I had to wait in the waiting room to see him for over 2 hours!  By the time I got in there I was throwing them every couple of beats!  Today I am wearing a 24 monitor.  I want it to catch one of the "bad ones" like you are describing, but I only get them once in a blue moon...so doesn't look like it's going to.  Just curious if you have found out anymore info?

I hate those.  They unnerve me for days.  What made me feel better is that they caught one while I was on a monitor and it looked precisely the same as the ones I barely felt.  I guess whatever it feels like, it's still just a PVC.  I hope that eases your mind a little.

Interest observation regarding the intensity of PVCs.........Okay lets apply this reasoning then and see if it makes sense....

I have loan atrial fib of mixed variety (both adgrenic and vagal) but my electro cardiologist believes some slight heart enlargement due to my vigorus training and the bad reaction I had to beta blockers lead to increasing PAFs and PVCs that brought on afib..............now, he believes there is a chance as I rid of the effects from the beta blockers and let my heart remodel back to normal from a detraining type program of lower intensity exercise will decrease afib or possibly eliminate it for a period of time if not indefinately......

Now getting to the point here......its been two months since I changed my workouts to low intensity and have been off medication..........not only have I had no afib episodes.....but the frequency and intensity of PVCs and PAFs is improving to where I hardly have many during the day and the are getting weaker to the point of almost not feeling them........

So I would have to presume without those big PVC thumps and just a whisp of such a feeling the longer I'm off the drugs and intense exercise should be a good indicator of things getting more regular for my hearts beating pattern?

In other words a less intense PVCs would be better than a stronger one as far as the heart trying to balance things out to be regular?

Your thoughts?

I get those sometimes. They can be really unsettling. From what I understand there is not any greater significance in them. I think it has to do with the refill time after a premature beat. A small amount of time usually produces a small or unnoticeable thump. A greater amount of time can result in a GREAT BIG THUD!!!  At least this is what I think. Take Care.

I get those every once in a while. It freeks you out. As it happens you are thinking, this is it !  Visions of passing out and someone finding you dead shoot through your mind. But its just a PVC and you survive. It doesn't concern me anymore. Your heart is such an amazing organ when you don't notice it, but when you have an arrhythmia it is disturbing. I've seen someone die of a fatal arrhythmia so I don't worry about it (except the not living part). You actually just pass out and slowly fall asleep. Very peaceful actually.
