Husband's Heart & Vasculature

My husband (aged 52) was recently diagnosed with CAD. He started with a-fib, enlarged heart & a clot.  Heart seems back to normal, cardio vert put rhythm back.  We are testing for apnea and doing a heart scan.  But I notice his ankles swell (even with his diarretics) should he see a vascular physician and be tested for PVD, too?

Lower extremity swelling is not usually a symptom of PVD, most likely represents heart failure from the atrial fibrillation. However, these conditions frequently coexist and so it is appropriate form him to be screened with PVRs.
