Hyperlipidemia

by cnora26, Sep 22, 2007 12:52AM
Hi, Im 45 and have very high cholesterol, 1st detected 16yrs ago in 1991. My cholesterol level ranges from 320 in 1998 down to 280, 260 and now 247 at its lowest. My LDL is always above desirable level. My dad had 1st stroke at 50 and died at 79 due to massive stroke.

I refused to take medication for fear of side effects. Im now taking salmon oil, lecithin capsules and EPO on alternating days.
My ECG result showed  "early transitions" & "QRS positive in V2". Rate 56, PR 177, QRSD 83, QT 435,  QTc 420,  Axis P 6-7, QRS 52, T 47. Is the result ok? Is there any cause for worry?

The docs in my country, does not like to explain or discuss but merely give out prescriptions and orders. I would like to know my risk & alternatives. I have stopped seeing any doctor. Should I change my outlook?
