Mine is in reverse, that is the right side is consistently higher. I asked the cardiologist about it and he said (my interpretation), it depends on how you are plumbed internally, if your arteries are snaking around a lot and have a lot of bends, there will be some frictional loss by the time the blood arrives at the test site an that's what you see.
You're welcome, take care.
I really appreciated your answer. Thank you
As Vienna states there is a normal variation of the pressure between right and left arms. The variation is usually less than 10mmHg. but if the difference is consistently greater that could indicate an underlying cause such a vascular disease (CAD). Initially, your doctor should determine which arm provides the higher blood pressure should be used to consistently to determine if blood pressure is higher than normal.
Thanks for your question and if you have any further questions or comments you are welcome to respond. Take care,
Ken
thank you very much for your answer
Hi I don’t think so I can tell you why is that, only can tell it is not only for you like that, it is kind of normal.
I never bothered to know. My doctor said:” just a way it is.” That answer satisfied me .
But sure might be others :smart members knowing everything here, so you wait and see, if they will tell you why is that?
Welcome !
