Hypertension
I am on my 12th different blood pressure medication. I have had a reaction to all except one which did not change my blood pressure at all.

Does anyone know any way to test to see which meds can be tolerated and effective?

What type of medications are being prescribed for your high blood pressure? beta blockers? ace inhibitors?

Almost all beta blockers take a few weeks for the body to adjust to.  They generally make you very tired the first week or two, but after that, the body adjusts, and one feels better and sees a reduction in the blood pressure readings.  Just a question, are you giving the medications a long enough trial?  Also, parroting Ed's post, what drugs did you try?
