The doctors won't be be able to asnswer you this way - as a post comment. Try posting your question between 8:00 and 8:30 AM Eastern time. I've been trying for many weeks myself and I finally got my lucky chance. Good luck!
HAI SIR/MADAM,
I AM 29 YEARS MARRIED ASIAN FEMALE AND I HAVE A THREE CHILDRENS.130 lbs, 5
Thanks for your input. I'm beginning to look at my diet as well. Hopefully, this IST will go away as fast as it appeared.
Hi all,
It's been awhile since I've posted. I have had a great reduction in the number of PVCs and PACs that I feel since April and I am cautiously optimistic enough to share it with you and hope that it will work for some of you. I would say I've had about a 75% reduction.
My history: 42 yo female, nonsmoker, nondrinker, normal weight. PVCs began at age 9, but got much worse in my 20s and beyond. I have had documented PVCs, PACs and supraventricular and/or "inappropriate sinus tachycardia, probably benign" (but still, they rob you of your peace all the time and make your life hell, right?)
This is what I did:
1. Had some nontraditional food sensitivity testing and was advised to remove ALL dairy sources from my diet.
2. Had some nontraditional hormone testing. All my tests were done by an MD who practices traditional plus complementary medicine. I was advised to begin daily OTC natural progesterone cream, vitamin B-50 and a serving of soy daily and 500 mg of calcium per day.
3. I read a book by Dr. John Lee called, "What your doctor may not tell you about menopause", which pretty much agrees with the recommendations above.
I made the hormonal changes first, but it was only after I gave up ALL dairy sources for about 3-4 weeks that I noticed a remarkable difference.
I don't know if this is important, but I eat mostly plain foods, that is, I read labels and buy stuff without added chemical-sounding ingredients such as potasium sorbate, potassium benzoate and the like. I also eat low fat and do about 5 servings of fruits and veggies per day, but I have always done that and only now am I noticing a blessed difference in the # of PVCs.
Again, I feel that the dairy elimination was the biggest factor, but I'm not positive. I'll try to do another blog in a month or two and let you know how I'm doing. If any of you try this and it works for you, please post. I note that they also have the hormone testing for men at the clinic I went to....don't know whether this would be helpful or not for you guys.
Hi again,
I just wanted to clarify one thing about my post above. My healthcare provider told me that dairy would ALWAYS be the first thing she would recommend for anyone to take out of their diet...and on the food sensitivity testing they do there, most people test positive for milk sensitivity...so that might save you all from having to get these tests. You could just try the dairy thing first.
Sorry I have to continue my questions here. No enough space above.
Questions:
1. My echo was done in April. It didn
Hi Calico,
What does hyperdynamic R & LV function mean?
It means your ejection fraction was over 65%. We often see this is people that are very stressed about the test or have thick heart muscle. your muscle was normal so I assume you may have been stressed.
2. The nuclear stress test was done in May. What is preserved LV systolic function? I thought my EF should have been higher than 60% considering I was on sinus tach that time. Is there a hint of cardiomyopathy or HF there?
It sounds like you had a normal stress test. I would not read anything else into it.
3.Has HTN already damaged my heart? Or are the cardiac symptoms from something else like endothelial dysfunction? My fasting glucose recorded in February was 93 mg/dL.
The damaged caused by HTN is slow and progressive. I doubt in a 37 year old with that blood pressure that it has caused significant damage yet. You make a jump here and say that your cardiac symptoms are -- We should be clear that you have no objective data saying these symptoms are from your heart. People hate to hear this, but anxiety can do the exact same thing. Remember, panic attacks and heart attacks are virtually indistiguible, especially if you have never had a heart attack before.
4. For my body frame, do you think my heart dimensions are on the high end of normal range and my heart could be heading for hypertrophy?
Absolutely not. These are normal sizes.
5.Is my case reversible? I really want to travel outside US, go skiing next winter, and be weaned off from my med. Just worried that I will just collapse one day. I
