I am also experiencing chest vibraions

by suesnue82, Apr 03, 2008 07:03AM
Is this really just anxiety? I have had anxiety for years and never experienced that sensation from it. I am 25 and relatively healthy, but could stand to loose 20 pounds. I did have an eating disorder as a teenager and gained 50 pounds in less than  year as an adult. Ihave been ignoring the buzzing and haven't been to the doctor. Iknow that isn't a good idea but I'm scared of being prescribed a million different things. Any advice?

This discussion is related to buzzing/vibrating sensation in left breast/chest.

I am also experiencing these vibrations, however it is important to properly characterize them.  It seems to be a vibration not a buzzing, the distinction is the amplitude and frequency.  My chest vibrations which seem to be eminating from the left side of my chest (the heart region) is between 3 and 5 hz.  That means that the oscilation seems to occur 3 to 5 times a second.  If I listen do my heart with a stethoscope I can clearly hear my heart rate, somewhere around 45-60 bpm.  Sometimes the vibration spreads all the way down my arms, which makes it difficult to detect a proper pulse at the wrist (or throat), since the vibration can be confused for a pulse.  The vibration occurs when I'm sleeping (or at least when I wake up) so I'm generally in a laying down position, however I have fallen asleep in the sitting position and still had it.  It is most common if I have eaten close to the time I fell asleep.

In addition to this, I have experienced other seemingly unrelated heart problems when relaxing and breathing problems when swimming.  I am 27 and in excellent health (I was training for an ironman before I started having problems)

My heart problems are non sustatined v tach, and superventricular tachycardia
