I am taking coumadin for dvt. There is such a high correlation with osteoporosis due to the lack of dietary vitamin k2 that I'm frightenedof the side affects of coumadin. She also has a compression sacroiliac fracture be fore the hip fracture  My mother did not survive hip surgery, after 30 years of treatment with coumadin. Is plavix and aspirin an appropriate alternative to treat dvt/ If not, is there anything else that might treat the dvt???
