This is my last post on this website...
1. Gaspipe (a.k.a. 'Gasbag'), I repeat, my question was for the EXPERTS on this site. My question included the 'silly' part. A layperson like yourself (or as you ostensibly are) and myself is not equipped to make such judgements, which is why I prefaced my question thus.
2. You cannot agree with a volition, as expressed by 'I hope...'. You can share it, but to make a statement regarding its realization (or lack thereof)is another thing altogether. THAT is what you did.
3. I did not have to wait months to ask a 'pertinant' question. I asked my PERTINENT question the same day I registered, and got an answer the next day, along with some guttersnipe comments the next. When I need to know about my health, thank God I can go to a doctor that can deal with me face-to-face. I am sure that all the doctors here are fine practitioners, but as they themselves constantly caution, you must consult with a physician who can observe you personally.
4. I did not pose [sic] any insults to you. I stated fact and a little opinion.
Anyway, my association with this fine forum is over. It was only my intention to have my question answered by a PROFESSIONAL, and I got that. Thanks again to the doctors here and to Echotech as well.
I do believe it was you who asked if this was a"silly question" I simply agreed. People wait for months to get in and ask pertinant questions about their health. And I did not pose any personal insults to you as you did towards me.
I was asking the DOCTOR, not you. A prudent course of action, when taking into account such statements as the referred-to columnist's, is to ask an EXPERT. As far as I can tell, that does not refer to you. Please keep your comments to yourselves and let the gracious, KNOWLEDGEABLE doctors answer.
If anything is a waste, it is your comment, Gasbag, I mean Gaspipe.
AS for you BillK3, you are obviously not a moderator of this forum. Let them do their job, and you do yours, whatever that is.
I love wannabes like you who go around forums like this, offering your unsolicited, worthless two bits of opinion. I would like to think that you have better things to do than post stupid, snide comments, but it is apparent that you don't. Morons.
Thanks to the Doctor and to Echotech, who gave sensible replies.
The answer is yes it is an odor to the procedure, but not one that is going to knock you off of your feet. It can smell somewhat like grilling meat( you however will not mistake it for grilled beef or chicken, ever. It does have it's own scent.) when they use the cauterizer (think of a fancy medical grade soldering iron) to stop bleeding vessels.
I am surprised that this thread has not been deleted by now. Isn't this a moderated forum?
What a waste of a question !!!
Hi,
thanks for the post.
People are effected differently by the things we see, hear and do in medicine. There are some aspects of medicine that profoundly effect me emotionally and others that do not as much. While profoundly prosaic, the columnist description is a personal one and I wouldn't percieve it the same.
Good luck, I hope this helps.
