I just was wondering....

I started to experience palpitations at 20 and even went to the er because I thought that I was dying. Everything checked out ok. Since then I have had palpitations about 12-15 times a year, no biggie. My first pregnancy during my fifth and sixth month I had a really bad time and went to the heart specialist cuz I thought something was seriously wrong but once again everything checked out. Problem is in all the tests I have had the palpitations have never happened while I have been hooked up to a monitor. Now I am 31 years old, on my second pregnancy in the 24th week and I have had about 5-50 palpitations a day for the past month. No other symptoms, just like my heart skips a beat. Should I worry about this and go to the heart specialist again since it is happening way more frequently than ever before?

Hi, Perhaps you should visit your doctor just for your own peace of mind as you don't want any unnecessary worry during you pregnancy!  Especially if you have any other symptoms like severe shortness of breath or severe swelling (beyond what's normal for pregnancy). It is normal to have in increase in these skips during pregnancy though.
My PVCs went crazy all of a sudden during pregnancy starting around month 6. I had 1786 skips per day recorded and felt them all. They weren't concerned about them though as pregnancy is known to have this effect (hormones, the extra blood volume etc). I went through labour with thousands of PVCs and noone so much as blinked an eye.
