I read your comments about the headaches, but I don't see as how that is OI related.  I myself am 44 years old and was born with the OI disorder, I am a type I, the more mild form.. It predisposes me to fracture from little stress on the bones, but it doesn't cause me headaches.  Yes, it, (Osteogenesis Imperfecta) can be passed from mother to daughter, as my mom has passed it to me.  Although, we do have boys and men on my moms side of the family who have had children that have not passed it, most of the women in my family have passed it to one or more of their children.  Both girls and boys can get it passed from the mother.  This disorder has been in my family for over 200 years, as far back as we can trace on the family tree, I have had many past relatives breaking spontaneously.  My grandmother, mother, myself and my son all have active forms of this.  It causes weak muscles, and loose joints, short stature, weak teeth(prone to cavities and tooth loss), and premature hearing loss, but headaches were not common in my family, at least ones associated with this disorder.  I hoped this has helped you at least a little, and maybe answered some of your questions.
