My 89 year old father had a negative dobutamineDobutamine Dobutamine hydrochloride Dobutamine hydrochloride-dextrose stress test. However 4-6 hours after the test he had severe vomiting and abdominal pain requiring admission for ileus or small bowel obstruction. Has never had abdominal surgery nor such bowel problems. Evaluation with CT of abdomen showed only dilatedDilated cardiomyopathy loops of small bowel. No other cause identified.
Prior to admission was walking 2 miles per day and other wise in good health for being 89 years old.
