Increased Heart Rate after sleep

Hi,

I am a 28 year old male. Everyday when i wake up, i've noticed that my heart rate is above 100 bpm. Within an hour, it goes down to the 60s or 70s (bpm). Is this common? Could i have any heart or breathing disorder?

I sleep a maximum of 4 to 6 hours a day. Could it be a sleeping disorder? I don't snore.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Regards,
V.

Thanks for your response. I had a bunch of tests conducted too. Everything came out okay. I did notice that i can't run as much as used to 5 years ago. Though part of it might be conditioning; i feel its something more than that. I did take a test where one blows into a mouth piece, some kind of a test to measure the performance of your lungs. I didnt fair v well. I did notice if i run for a mile or so, my teeth start to hurt from the roots which is usually followed by an acute pain in my head. I've also noticed when i run, i feel a burning sensation close to my right lung. I have checked with opthamologists, ent specialists and neurologist. They could not point to any issues. When i work out, my heart rate jumps up very quickly and goes above the 100% limit.

Any help or advice would he highly appreciated.

Regards,

I have this same problem too. My doctors are saying it is anxiety related. It happens every morning when I get out of bed and usually is back to normal after noon. I have had several  heart tests and heart problems have been ruled out.

I have these symptoms also.  Been told by doctors that I have a adrenal problems in which my heart starts beating fast from caffeine, licorce, exercise, etc.  Doctors said that I was not to be concerned as it would not shorten my lifespan.  If it becomes bothersome for you, you could talk to your doctor about Tenormin in a small dose which is a blood pressure medicine.
