Increased Heart Rate

Hi,  I need some help.  For years I have experienced an increase in heart rate while standing.  I just recently found it bothersome when I almost past out.  I took a set of vitals, lying: 115/76 HR 89, sitting: 124/79 HR 93, standing: 102/82 HR 120.  I almost always get a pulsating feeling in my head when I stand up. I went to the ER and all my test came back negative.  I just need answers.  It is frustrating to go to the doctor and get no answers.  I read up on Orthodtatic Hypotension and Postural Tachycardia Syndrome. I see my doctor next Tuesday and will make some suggestions.  I also feel very tired when I stand up for long periods without moving.  

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

Caffeine, black licorce or exercise can cause a fast heart rate and some allergy medications.  Heart rate can go up to about 180.  Usually, at around 160 the person gets pretty out of breath enough to not be able to talk.  Not sure what your age is, but if your young there is a higher chance of the heart beating faster and some heart awareness of the heart working with the awareness of feeling pulses throughout the body, neck, arms, etc.  Calcium and vitamin D helps calm and can slow the heart rate down.  There are a lot of people not taking enough vitamin D.  Beta blockers can help slow the heart rate down and decrease the blood pressure, but the problem is the heart gets addicted to them and it is hard to taper off of them.  Sometimes beta blockers can do harm in people who really are only taking them for the symptom of fast heart rate.  Make sure that you are getting enough exercise, walking and such.  Sometimes the heart beats fast because it is out of shape and needs more exercise.
