Indications for Batista procedure

In my reading about the Batista procedure, it appears that it is most effective with a dilated cardiomyopathy. Are there any indications for the procedure with a cardiomyopathy patient if the ventricular chamber size is grossly WNL? Thank you for answering my question.

Dear Kirk, thank you for your question. The Batista Procedure is being performed only on patients with dilated cardiomyopathy who have grossly dilated left ventricular cavities. It is not indicated for a patient with a normal left ventricular cavity size.
