Inferior infarct

My mother in law came home with her heart reading from the doctor today, it showed inferior infarct and left atrial enlargement. Tomorrow they are setting her up on a piece of equipment to wear all day. What I really want to know is what is a "inferior infarct" ?
I have been searching for a answer on your site and havent found any answers, can someone please help answer my question.

Specifically the rear of the heart, likely the rear of the left side as the left atrium is enlarged. I would try a search on "myocardial infarction" in google, it's simply the technical name for heart attack.

Inferior infarct means that a blood flow to the inferior wall of the heart has been compromised which resulted in death of the myocardial cells to that area...
