Infero lateral and inferior perfusion defect

Infero lateral and inferior perfusion defect

My husband just recovered from pneumonia. His sat is low, he has been on 2 litres of oxygen daytime,  and just had a nuclear stress test. The test result shows " a mild partially reversible infero lateral and inferior perfusion defect. The conclusion of the report shows" abnomal myocardial perfusion. There is infero lateral ischemia.

What does this mean? Is this necessary to go with the cardiac cath that the doctor is recommending? He does not have any chest pain or heart problems at all.

I heard about the risks/complications of this procedure, and I am very concerned about his health condition when he is still on the oxygen support, and just recovered from pneumonia.

I appreciate any information you are sharing with us.

now a days the catherisation risks/complications are very low. It is better to do the doctor's recommendation and it could identify the status of heart for prevention point of view.
