Just got home from work. What a day! Glad to hear the vet checked out your dog (don't think about that one :-). I'm amazed that out of 5" of bone that only a small bit came out (I'm digging an even deeper hole here). Still keep an eye on the pup but it sounds like everything will be fine in the end. Hee-hee. Can you tell I'm tired and warped?
Thanks for all the kind words. I'm not one to hold grudges. Life is too short and it only hurts me to hang on to the past. I've enjoyed your humor and sassy spots and just worried about your sad and angry times. Again, I'm just happy to see you're feeling a bit better. Thanks for the "mooshy" stuff too. Take it easy.
I do not believe anything can be off topic on a heart forum that can help keep our heart in better shape emotionally, same important, just as important as keeping it in the best shape as is possible physically with medical treatment....
....GOOD NEWS ! :) ...am glad you wont lose him Jack !
queen :) I only donate to the local animal shelters....people...not me sorry...anybody want to donate for me? I never ask, never give...sooo... there....
Thanks for the support guys :)
My butt is dragging, lol. Will get back with ya. There are sick people here!

I have been at the vet's crazy place most all day. I called him at 8 and he told me to give Buster a good shot of hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting.....He said if the bone was not up by 8:45 to come on in...A good size piece of bone, roughly 1/6 of the total bone came up and was splintered.
Well he did things to that little dog that I didn't know could be done. He sedated him heavily before any work. He took 3 X-rays and no bone was seen. It looked like he went from his rear to his goozle with a plastic thang. I asked him to give buster a good buzz before we left. He said yeah, he needs one, lol.
Buster is slightly po'ed now, but when I got him home he would not lay down. He staggered all over the house bumping into everything and falling for 30 minutes. He'll regret it tomorrow, ha ha ha.
Thanks for the help :) I think he may make it.
The other thing I wanted to talk with you about was when I was so raging rude, as I was trying to evade being found here. I guess I pretended to act mad at being talked about as if I were a person up for auction, lol. I was not ever mad at you, because you could never make me mad. I did use you in my charade and trampled your feelings by saying "are you crazy" and probably more. So this is what I want to apologize to you for.
There have been many days, in the distant past, when you helped me make it through the day with your keen wit and unique style of humor. Never ever were/are you boring :) You even fed my ego a time or two, lol. I thank you for your friendship. I am feeling mooshy like Sponge Bob or the Blob. I hope that people understand that I do not email folks with few exceptions (because they wouldn't dare give me there email address, lol), so I have to communicate very personal feelings here.
I think I am caught up on the personal communications on a public forum....Well I might need to think about that. Could have left someone deserving an apology? This head of mine is like jello...I had no sleep last night, just beta blocker nightmares, lol.
Have yourself a great evening,
Jack
P.S. Will Rogers once said that "The best doctor in the world is a veterinarian. He can't ask his patients what's wrong-he's got to just know".
Well shoot. I just remembered there's an "ask a vet" forum on here. The vet's pretty good about getting back to people within 24 hours. Weekends are a little iffy but if you post today she'll probably get to you tomorrow. Hope everything works out.
Oh dear. A 5" bone isn't going to turn corners very well if you catch my drift. It's more likely to get stuck and cause a blockage. If it was my pet I wouldn't take the "wait and see" approach. I'd take it to the vet for an x-ray to see what's really happening in there. If it ruptures the bowel you know how bad that can be. I'm so sorry that happened.
No need to apologize. My messages were cryptic and I was just trying to protect whoever it was. Turns out it was you after all but that's fine. I'm glad you're doing well. Take care.
the spare $ I have goes to animals..............say what you what about "humans".........the dogs make me ache
Jack,
I raise toy poodles and am very versed in dog care. It is possible that the dog will pass this bone, but watch for bloody stools. Just for future reference, dogs should never be given cooked bones as they tend to splinter and the fragments can be very hard on the dog's digestive system. Dogs should always be given raw bones, they won't break into sharp pieces.
Good Luck, I hate the thought of a small creature like that suffering, although it is hard to look manly with a couple of toy poodles sticking their heads out of your vette as you go down the road, I don't know what I would do if I lost one.
To all of you sweethearts, a friend of a friend of a friend called a veterinarian she works for. He said it was possible that he could pass this dang bone......I almost fainted when the critter took in lengthwise and shazam it immediately disappeared!
So sorry,
Jack
i am so sorry..........i do not know what to say . hugs, baby
Dogs are members of our family too. I hope this resolves positively.
