Is it possible????

Is it possible????

Is it possible to have angina pain that is only at rest and not with exercise?  I have indigestion type pain that seems to make the lower gums of my teeth ache but I have never noticed this when I am exercising like with walking briskly.  I take prevacid and am a 43 year old female. I know that cardiac symptoms are different in women and was just wondering.  Also, what is the best test to rule out angina in women?  Thank you for your time in answering these questions.

Dear Donna,

This may  represent angina  although it sounds somewhat atypical.  You may discuss this with your physician and consider undergoing a stress test to determine your risk of heart disease.
