Is there anybody out there who has had the same surgery twice?

At the age of 24 in 1987 I had ASD repair, no symptoms before hand only tired and running high temperatures off and on.  Twenty years later, at the age of 44 I had repair of sinus venosus ASD by bovine pericardial patch closure of the defect and baffling of the partial anomalous pulmonary venous return to the left atrium, augmentation of the SVC, and DeVega tricuspid valve annuloplasty.  It has been 4 months since my surgery and I am experiencing; dizziness, numbness, tingling, electrical feeling in the right/left side of my body; arm, leg, hand, face.  I am very active and teach fitness classes during the week.  Before my surgery in September of 07 I would run 3-5 miles before teaching my fitness classes.  My cardiologist in Nashville insists that my symptoms are not cardiac related, I tend to disagree.  The cardiologist in my home town found another hole in my heart while through the echo bubble test and TEE test.  The doctors in Nashville say there is no hole.  I am now seeking the advice of Neurologist and they have suggested the TCD bubble test to determine if there is still a hole.  I want to get back to my normal active life, is there anybody out there with congenital heart defects that have been through two major open heart surgeries?

I had my first ASD repair at the age of 8, and my second at age 26. I'm 29 now and am healthy with no problems! I had them both at UMC (MIssissippi) in Jackson.  I did go for a second opinion in Birmingham at UAB.  It was totally worth it, and he backed everything that my original Cardiologist had suggested.
