Is this PVD?

Is this PVD?

Hi,

I have really bad veins, and I have had to have a repair of the SVC and other veins in my chest due to a congenital defect. I am a very hard draw for labs, and when I have surgery my veins shut down.  I have to have butterflies put in to knock me out so the docs can go at my veins without causing me tons of pain.  My veins also spasmed during the venograms. My question is, I am now having some return of symptoms that I had before the repair of the SVC.  But I am now having swelling in the arms down to the wrist with what seams like water gain.  I also have swelling in the legs from the knees down too.  If I have to get up in the middle of the night, my legs ache from the knees down, and my feet hurt to stand on them.  If I sleep through the night, when I do get up in the morning, my legs really ache and my feet really hurt bad.  But after awhile the pain seems to go away.
Is this a sign of PVD or PAD?  Or just what are the signs?
Thanks for your help.

I am unable to make a diagnosis in this forum.  However, this sounds more consistent with venous insufficiency rather than PVD.  It would be best to have this fully evaluated with a complete vascular examination.
