Ischemia

I was told my son (age 14) had experienced subendocardia ischemia; also myocardial ischemia.  I think I know what ischemia is but do not understand subendocardia and myocardial.  Can you explain these in layman's terminology, please.  I don't totally know what they have told me.  Thank you.

Subendocardial means the lower layer of heart tissue and myocardial is just a general term for heart muscle.  Ischemia means lack of blood flow to the muscle.  Subendocardial ischemia is usually diagnosed from an ECG.  Did they say why your son had the ischemia?
