Ischemia

Posted By Tim on September 22, 1998 at 04:50:35:

Recently I have been having some mild chest pain and had a few EKG's done. The initial EKG showed an anterior infarct with inferior ischemia. I am only 29 y.o. and I went to the ER and had a cardiac panel done which showed everything to be within normal limits apprximately 30 minutes after the chest pain started. At the time of the chest pain I was  just sitting down reading the newspaper. I was given two nitro tabs in which relieved the chest pain at the time. Now I intermitently have mild chest pains and follow up EKG's are showing that I still have inferior ischemia. I am trying to see a Cardiologist of strong choice here in my area but am told that I will have to wait until Oct 22 before I can see him. Should I be little more concerned and try to get in to see someone sooner or what? The ER physician strongly recommended that I have stress test done as soon as possible. Also, both of my parents have passed away at the age of 57 due to coronary heart disease.
