fish oil reduces triglyceride levels.
I would be jumping up and down if I was ever told my trigylcerides were at 197. You are doing great and the fact that you ae very much aware of your health tells me you will do great in the future. Keep living the healthy life. Take care, Ally
Your Tri's are the one fat in your blood that are most effected by diet. Empty carbs have a huge effects of the number so avoid foods like pastas, breads and sugars. Also eleiminate as much processed foods as possible. These tend to stay in your system longer so a 24 hour fast does not always provide enough time to eliminate them from your system. Having said that, this is the reason that your Tri's are closer to your everyday number when you test. Think about it, you don't fast 12 hours every day so your lipids are always higher than your reported numbers. That is why it is so important to watch your ratios as they tell a more accurate story.
Hope this helps,
Jon
FYI, your numbers look great!
Was this a fasting blood test or did you eat before having it done?
