LV EF 45% mild LV dysfunction

my mother is had bypass surgery last 10 days back, her heart beat is varies from 49 to 55 bpm, Pl sugggest what to do to improve her heart beat ?

You mother is probably on medication to keep the heart rate low and with that med it is not unexpected to have the variation you have given.  Normal EF (ejection fraction) is the percentage of blood pumped with each heartbeat and normal is 50 to 70% and 45% would be an indication of mild LV dysfunction.

I'm sure your question relates to increasing the 45% EF...not heart rate.  The EF can be increased with exercise, proper diet, medication, etc., but an EF of 45% is not serious, but normally there would be an increase of the heart rate to increase cardiac output.  For some insight, cardiac output is the amount of blood pumped each minute (heart rate times volume (EF). So to meet the system demand for oxygenated blood low EF can be compensated for by an increase in heart rate....higher EF can/will reduce the heart rate to meet the system demand.

So to have a lower than normal heart rate with a decrease in the EF is inconsistent with normal functionality....sometimes the doctor may decide to keep the heart rate low with medication to help the heart return to normal size and function.  The lower the heart rate the better, but it should not be so low that one faints or has other side effects.  It may take a few months to recover.
