LV diastolic dysfunction

could you please explain what LV diastolic dysfunction and treatment and cause
Avatar_dr_f_tn
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Any condition or process which leads to stiffening of the left ventricle can lead to diastolic dysfunction. The causes of left ventricular stiffening are high blood pressure, aortic stenosis, scarred heart muscle, constrictive and restrictive cardiomyopathy severe systolic dysfunction which can lead to ventricular dilation etc.Treatment of the cause is very important .Medications used are  calcium channel blockers, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors .Early diagnosis and management may improve the prognosis of this condition. Do consult a cardiologist. I hope it helps.
Best luck and regards!
