LVEF=25% with LBBB

LVEF=25% with LBBB

I have low LVEF=25% with LBBB and the angiography shows no blockage. My doctor has recommended me pacemaker. Can someone pls help me understand if it will really help me and the success ratio of a pacemaker

Just to remind you a few things..
I have low LVEF=25% and LBBB. And from last around 3 weeks i am on carvedilol 6.25md BD. I am able to walk daily for 3-4kms at a stertch without fatigue.

This type PM is frequently used when a person has a low EF that is caused by the ventricles not pumping in sync, or the ventricle is getting a weak impulse from the hearts natural pacemakers. And LBBB may cause arrhythmia (heart out of sync.).  You should be helped for a better EF and some assurance against an irregular heart rate.

Success rates – the success rates of achieving control of the heart rate is 99%. This does not however mean that you would be free of symptoms for the reasons described above.

Risks – This is a very safe procedure and has been studied in a number of large trials. Pacemakers rarely fail and the mortality after this procedure is extremely rare.

Carvedilol 6.25md will help ontrol your heart rate (I have been taking the med for years).  I take the med when working out at the gym and my heart rate is fixed and sustained at a lower than normal rate for protection.  I'm not able to say continue your exercise routine, but I am of the opinion that you should maintain your regular exercise to prevent deconditioning and meds will provide some protection against arrhythmia.

To walk at pace of about 3.5 to 4 miles an hour without shortness of breath and/or chest pains is very good, and that is consistant with adequately open blood vessels.
