Hi iv recently been told that i have "thick heart" I am 24 and im overweight for my age although i see myself as a person that keeps fit. I play camogie, in which i train 3 nights a week and i also play netball and train one night a week. I go walking in my spare time and i mind children at the week-ends and also work full-time in a primary school. I am constantly on the go! I am going through the process of my heart being monitored for 48 hours at the moment and next week iv to get the 24 hour Blood Pressure monitoring done. I get breathless from climbing 13 stairs, the camogie and netball really take it out of me! I am very worried that when i get the results of these tests that they come back clear. Could there be another reason for all my symtoms?

A little more information would help. Can you tell us what the readings were, how they were taken and if you have high blood pressure?

This will help us lead you in the right direction.
