LVH

About a year ago I had an ECG and the Dr. told me I needed to see a cardiologist because I had LVH.  I then went and got another ECG and Echocardiogram and the Dr. told me there was nothing to worry about and it was normal.  My blood pressure last week was 120/82.  He said its normal to have LVH and an abnormal ECG being that I am 26 yrs old 6'6 230lbs with an athletic build.  Is that normal or should I seek another opinion?

An echocardiogram is a good source to determine left ventricle dimensions, and EKG is not...many false positives and an athlete's heart size would provide an abnormal EKG output.

If you  have an enlarged left ventricle as a result of vigorous aeorobic exerciser, you should have a pulse rate less than 60 beats per minute at rest, very good exercise tolerance, etc. If and when you reduce or stop the vigorous activity, an non-pathological enlarged left ventricle will/should return to normal dimensions.
