Lab results

I recently had blood work done.  I fasted 12 hours before the test.  I am taking Monopril and Lipitor.  My cholestrol was 135.  My triglycerides were 275.  The lab told me the 275 would not allow the HDL and LDL levels to be measured.  Is this true?  Should the lab have been able to measure the HDL and LDL?  At what level of triglycerides can't HDL and LDl be measured?  Your comments.  Thank you.

Dear Robert,
Most labs have a cut-off value of 400-500 for triglycerides before the LDL is considered inaccurate.  I would check with your doctor for your lab's cut-off.
