Leaky heart valve and asthma symptoms

For nearly 2 years now a specialist has been treating me for "asthma".We have tried various asthma medications and treatments to no avail.The symptoms I have appeared after a 2 month bout of pneumonia.
Shortness of breath
The feeling of a racing heart
Heart feeling like it is "flip flopping"
Increased heart rate
Increased blood pressure
Pressure in the upper chest
Coughing....this is very similar to having a cold...very bad upon waking up and eventually clears somewhat,gets worse after eating and drinking,gets worse when going outside from inside and vice versa,is worse when laying in bed at night etc
Feeling light headed at times and shaky and weak
Excessive urination...every hour at least
Constantly tired
Prolly more that I have not listed
Myself:
39 years old
6 foot tall....260 lbs....quite active with regular heavy weight training
Resting heart rate of 85-105
Blood pressure usually 150/95 or above

I do feel I have asthma but question why none of the meds have eased my symptoms.Upon my own investigation I have discovered that these symptoms can be caused by leaky heart valves
I will be seeing my specialist in 2 weeks but would like to know if any medical professionals may be able to give me more info and help
