Left Arm Pain

Im 25, 112lbs, active/healthy.
I have heart flutters many times through out the day and I asked my doctor about it and she said its related to anxiety, and not to worry. However,  during the last few months I've been experiencing 'deep' cramping through out my left arm, usually starting in the shoulder/armpit and travelling down the rest of my arm. Some days its not as bad as others... If my heart flutters a lot in one day, then my left arm cramps up, this really worries me!.....I dont have chest pains, shortness of breath, and i never feel light headed or dizzy, which gives me some relief...Im going to see my doctor about it soon..But i am still scared! Not a nice feeling :/

Without worrying you, these cramps may be related to contractions of muscles of the chest and are not related to your heart.

However, it’s safe to perform an ECG and even a holter ECG which records the ECG readings over 24 hours.

It might be related to stress as your doctor said. In this case, you should avoid drinking coffee, tea, chocolate and Coca Cola. Try to sleep enough at night and get away from the noisy environment. Tell us what happened with you.

Thanks so much. I'll ask about an ECG...Im hoping my arm pain is not related to my heart. But do you think that chest contractions and cause numbness/tingling in my left hand/finger tips too?
