Left Shoulder Pain

by scnetworks, Feb 03, 2008 09:11AM
Hello. I'm a 49 year old male who had a stent implanted last Thursday (1/31) (73% blockage of LAD).

Went on errands with my wife yesterday - could feel a little pain now and then in my left shoulder area
so took it very easy. This morning, woke up early to constant dull pain in left shoulder - took meds prescribed (Topal, Plavix, Zocor) - pain went away. Up and around now - slight pain every now and then.

Called Cardiologist - he said to give it a few hours, if persisted go to ER.

Question is - never had this before, should this happen so soon after stent implant? Is this a normal side effect for some? Body just getting used to the new thing? Hoping the community can shed some advice. Thanx.
