Liddle's Disease/Kidney Diseases

I was diagnosed with Liddle's about two years ago and placed on amiloride.  However, since that time I have realized how important salt restriction is, at least for me.  I now know that high salt in my meals has been the source of terrible attacks that made me feel like I needed to explode.  My B/P is normal now.  I believe my father had this disease also; he passed away from kidney failure and had what was called "meneire's disease", but looking back I wonder if it was the effects of too much sodium in his diet.  

I also have one-sided kidney pain with occasional microscopic hematuria.

Has anyone else had this experience?
