My husband is 52 and a disabled firefighter. He had triple bypass surgery last Januaray. He quit smoking and is in pretty good health overall. We are in the process of settling his case with the Orange County, Florida. I need any studies that show what his life expectancy is now going to be. The County is using a 10 year life expextancy figure. If you can tell me of studies done that show that is no longer true and he will live longer than 10 years I would really like to have them. Any assitance you can give me would be greatly appreicated.

My husband two years ago had tripple bypass surgery. Everyone around him keeps telling him that it will only buy him 5 to 7 more years before he dies. Since this has been done he has lost 130 pounds and changed his eatting habbits totally. His cholesteral level blood pressure and his triglicerites are all great. Is this info given him correct. He feels like if that is the case then why try. How can I deal with this so he can put this idea out of his mind. I have talked to some people while he was in the hospitol that had gone 15 years ...How do I deal with his fears and document that it isn't always the case .....can anyone help me out here ....
