My husband had a heart attack 10 years ago with unsuccessful stint placement. However, through exercise he developed calaterals around his 100% block LAD artery. He has been on Lipitor since initial MI and had the dose increaed since last angiocather test 3 years ago. He is 67 and has increasing fatigue, weight loss and muscle tone decline. He is able to work (farmer) but is increasinly fatigued. I want him to stop the Lipitor. Am I correctCorrect (new formula)?
Thank you for your comments. You are correct! I have asked my husband to please see his cardiologist for an evaluation. If his doctor recommends 80 mg's of Lipitor daily I will accept his expertise. You would never believe I am a nurse! I guess when it comes to a loved one all knowledge flys out the window!! Best wishes to you, I trust you will do well.
