Lipoprotein(a) reduction problem?

Lipoprotein(a) reduction problem?

Both my only brother and I have near 100 LPa:  he does not take niacin.   I take 3000mg of niacin/day, but seemingly no major reduction in LPa( although possibly it contributes in reducing other factors: my chol has been reduced to 1o7 with LDL to 66 and HDL to 38)  What can I do to decrease LPa  and  increase HDL?

Niacin is the only pharmacological intervention for Lp(a).  HDL can be increased with Niacin, exercise and small amounts of wine.
